The university campus spans 656 acres and is situated between the cities of Greensboro and Raleigh. It is arranged into seven neighborhoods, each with its own purpose or theme (e.g. historic). Founded on a grove of oak trees, the university continues to have one neighborhood named “The Oaks” and graduates receive an oak sapling as part of their leaving ceremony. The average class of 2020 student at Elon University had a grade point average of 4.03, an ACT range of 27-31 and a SAT range of 1890-1970. Nearly 60 percent of all students at Elon are female and 53 countries are represented among the student body.
